What files do I upload?
We accept three formats only: PDF statements, JPG photos (.jpg/.jpeg) and CSV spreadsheets. Using Excel or Google Sheets? Export as CSV first (Excel: File > Save As > CSV; Google Sheets: File > Download > Comma-separated values). If you already have a QuickBooks file, tell us during intake and we'll work from it.
Is it AI-only?
You choose. The AI bookkeeper ($2 per page) works on its own and its files are labelled "AI draft — not reviewed by a person". Choose AI bookkeeper plus human review ($10 per page) and one of our bookkeepers reviews and approves every entry.
Do you file my taxes?
No. We do bookkeeping only. We deliver clean, reviewed books your CPA or tax preparer can file from. Tax filing is a separate service we don't provide.
Do you support both the US and Canada?
Yes, and only those two countries. Canadian books include GST/HST tracking. US books are structured for your entity type (e.g. sole proprietor vs. S-corp owner pay). Use the Canadian / US flag switch at the top to see prices in CAD or USD; Canadian clients are billed in CAD.
How fast is it?
The AI draft is quick. Human review is the part we schedule. Your price is per page and shown before you pay; we'll give you a timeline for the human review with it.
How is my data handled?
We treat statements as sensitive financial data. Files are kept in private storage, only the people working on your file can access them, and we never sell your data or use it for marketing. Your profile is private to you; only our team member handling your file can see the contact details needed to do the work. Ask us in chat or email for details of our current setup before you upload.
Do I need to get on a call?
No. We're email- and chat-first. If you'd like a call, ask in chat and a human will set one up.
How much does it cost?
Per statement page: $2 with the AI bookkeeper, or $10 with human review (a bookkeeper checks and approves everything). Minimum $5 per upload. Monthly and catch-up work use the same rates. Example: 3-page bank + 2-page card statement = $10 AI or $50 with human review. See the price calculator.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Try for free with up to 2 statements and 2 pages: email only, no credit card, Canada and US businesses. The results are an AI draft, not reviewed by a bookkeeper. Opening soon.
Can I add more statements to a job later?
Yes. While a job is open, your portal offers "Add files to this job", so a forgotten statement goes into the same job instead of starting a duplicate.
What if I upload the wrong file?
Use "Replace a file" on the job page and give a short reason. We keep the old copy in our records so your bookkeeper can see what changed.
Which currency are prices in?
Tap the Canadian or US flag at the top of any page. Canadian prices are in CAD, US prices in USD. Once you have an account, your profile country decides.
Who can see my files?
Only you and our team working on your file. Each client login sees only its own jobs. See Security for details.
