Non-profits can get Canada Summer Jobs funding up to 100% of minimum wage for youth jobs. In Alberta, the Community Initiatives Program (project grants up to $75,000, matched) and the Community Facility Enhancement Program (up to $125,000 small, up to $1 million large, matched) help community groups; check alberta.ca for intake dates. Some non-profit property in Alberta can be exempt from property tax (apply to your municipality).
