Canada
Equipment, vehicles and computers are written off over time with capital cost allowance (CCA) by class. Property bought from 2025 may get a faster first-year write-off, and a new full first-year write-off (the Productivity Mega Deduction, for property bought from September 15, 2026) has been proposed but was not yet law in October 2026. The old immediate expensing for small businesses has ended. Because the write-off depends on when you buy and start using the item, ask your accountant before a large purchase near year-end.
